A five minute drive from The Old Town Inn takes you to Florence Golf Links. Huddled among sweeping sand dunes and towering shore pine, Florence Golf Links is a spectacular location for coastal golf. Designed by the world-renowned Rees Jones, Florence Golf Links has been honored as the “Best New Public Course in America,” received a 4½ star rating from Golf Digest’s list of “Places to Play in the USA,” and has received numerous awards and recognition ever since opening in 1993. The Grill at Florence Golf Links offers Florence’s only lakeside dining where you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the golf course, and a wide selection of beverages with fresh, local cuisine before, during, or after a round.
Florence Golf Links is a par 72, 7190-yard course and fun for golfers of all levels. Both nines incorporate the rolling canvas of the Central Oregon Coast. The outer nine reminds players of courses on the Monterey Peninsula—sculpted out of a forest of towering pines and sparkling blue lakes with the constant whiff of ocean breezes.
The inner nine takes you back to the heart of the game with a traditional links style layout of gently rolling, curving dunes from tee to green.

As an added bonus, an interesting range of wildlife makes their home in and around Florence Golf Links. Players report seeing deer, geese, ducks and ducklings, sandpipers, blue heron, crane, bald eagles, osprey, and on a rare occasion (and off at a distance) black bear and coyote. Bring a camera and you will get some great shots of a different kind.
