Head-Turning Farm Package Now Available at Cozy Puget Sound Resort

Nestled on the shoreline of Washington’s majestic Puget Sound is a one-of-a-kind resort offering an authentic, romantic, and bold farm-to-table experience. The Resort at Port Ludlow, which is equally a resort, golf course, marina, and award-winning restaurant, now provides guests with a special package that is certain to turn heads: The Farm Package.

With The Farm Package, not only will you and another guest get one or two nights in a cozy accommodation fully equipped with jetted tub, gas fireplace, and locally sourced amenities, but you’ll also get a self-guided farm tour, multi-course dinner with wine or cider pairings, and $40 in farm bucks.

Here’s how it works: You’ll check into The Resort at Port Ludlow and receive a basket. Inside the basket will be the “farm bucks,” and a map to SpringRain Farm & Orchard, Finnriver Farm & Cidery, and Red Dog Farm Stand. You’ll then go on a self-guided tour, and pick out various vegetables, fruits, cheeses, ciders, and whatever else your heart desires. When the trip is over, bring your full basket of goodies back to the resort’s 5-star restaurant, The Fireside.

At The Fireside, when your memorable day on the farm has come to an end, Executive Chef Dan Ratigan will create a tasting menu with the products you’ve chosen. The final result will be a delicious, gratifying multi-course dinner paired with some of the best wine or cider in North America.

“Our culinary team takes great pride in each and every one of these Farm Package bookings,” said Ratigan. “It is a challenge and is joyful to share our partnerships with the farmers in this unique way.”

The small bayside village of Port Ludlow, which is home to just under 2,000 people, takes pride in the fruitful land. Debbie Wardrop, General Manager of The Resort at Port Ludlow, guarantees guests who choose The Farm Package will gain a deeper understanding of locally-sourced food, and the extraordinary people who harvest in the Puget Sound hillside.

“There is something very compelling about walking on the land, smelling the dirt and the freshness of the produce, meeting the farmers, and then tasting the food immediately,” said Wardrop. “Without exception, every guest that has had this experience describes a richer travel journey--and a meaningful time.”

When you’re not indulging in your tour and dinner, get cozy in your accommodation, which also features a step-in shower, sitting area, small fridge, Keurig coffee makers, and local, handmade Sweet Life bath salts, soaps, and lotion bars. Don’t forget to walk the beach, hike the area trails, and kayak, stand-up paddleboard, or fish while in town--you won’t regret it.

The Farm Package starts at just $404 per night for two guests and is ideal for those looking for something new in a romantic weekend away. This unique package is available Spring through Fall, so book now before no spots remain!
