Join the Festivities of One of the Longest Running Events in the Rockies

Nestled among the majestic peaks of the Rocky Mountains, Glenwood Springs is a can't miss destination featuring panoramic vistas, hot springs, and outdoor adventures for all ages. Since the end of the 19th Century, people have flocked to the city to bathe in its famous geothermal waters. Visitors looking to partake should try the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool which is the world’s largest mineral hot springs pool. If you’re an outdoor enthusiast, this is your ultimate destination. Mountains, forests, rivers, and unique geological features offer picturesque landscape ranking among the most beautiful in the world. Folks in search of stunning scenery need to visit Hanging Lake, White River National Forest, and Glenwood Canyon.

The Glenwood Strawberry Days Festival is one of the longest-running events in Colorado, and it will take place June 15-17 at Sayre Park. Attendees can expect a massive family-friendly extravaganza complete with live music and entertainment, Miss Strawberry Days (scholarship contest), FamilyFest area (kids activities), parade, art and crafts vendors, dining options, and of course, free strawberries. Each day of the event brings different live performers on the Main Stage. Some of this year’s performers include: Goodman Band, Cowboy Mouth, and Chris Daniels and the Kings with Freddi Gowdy. Returning this year is the Miss Strawberry Days, which is one of the oldest civic festival competitions west of the Mississippi. A panel of judges will rate contestants in categories such as leadership skills, volunteerism, and the ability to represent the community as an ambassador, with substantial scholarships going to the winners. Those attending with the family need to stop by the FamilyFest area. Here families can see a variety of family-friendly entertainment and participate in fun activities like bouncy houses and bungee trampolines. Patrons can also purchase unique handmade art and items in the vendor area, as well as a variety of foods, snacks, and beverages in the food area.
