Celebrate the Season at this Massive Bavarian Bash

Baltimore's distinct neighborhoods and diverse selection of attractions, make it the ideal Maryland destination. The Inner Harbor is a district that all travelers should experience, and it's full of can't miss attractions such as the Maryland Science Center and National Aquarium. Those looking for a dose of the local nightlife will love Fells Point. The district features a variety of can't miss bars and pubs including Max’s Taphouse, Cat’s Eye Pub, and Rye.

Das Best Oktoberfest has been one of the leading October and Bavarian celebrations in the region for nearly two decades, and it will take place October 13 at the M&T Bank Stadium lots. This year’s event will feature more than 150 beers, wines, and schnapps from domestic and international producers. Oompah bands and regional musicians will perform live throughout the event, adding to the event’s unique beer hall vibe. Attendees can buy a variety of Bavarian meals and snacks including bratwurst, sauerkraut, and more. From stein holding competitions to costume contests, the event offers a spectrum of fun contests for all tastes. Patrons who purchase a VIP ticket will also have access to the Baltimore Beer Week Opening Tap Celebration, which is an exclusive tasting party where beer drinkers can meet Maryland brewmasters and special guests. A portion of the event's proceeds will go to the Spirit of Hope Children’s Foundation, a nonprofit that provides support and education to children and adults with mental or physical disabilities. ResortsandLodges.com interviewed Event Representative, Greg Nivens, to learn more about this salute to the season and Bavarian culture.
