From New York City and surrounding area -- Take Route 80 West into Pennsylvania. Get off at Exit 284 (Route 115). Go approximately 3-4 miles. Take 903 S south and continue for about 18 miles into Jim Thorpe. Go across the bridge at the first traffic light, and make a left-hand turn. At the second light in town, go straight. The Inn at Jim Thorpe is the third building on the right. Parking is available on the side and in back.
Originally built as the White Swan Hotel in 1833 to accommodate the thousands of Mauch Chunk visitors during the town’s era as a booming coal transportation hub. Subsequently, the hotel, along with many of the town’s buildings burned down in 1849 and the hotel was rebuilt into today’s The Inn at Jim Thorpe.close
