It’s hard to beat the elevated style of living offered by Aspen luxury hotels, but The Crestwood rivals some of the best with the sleek exteriors and upscale interiors of its luxury accommodations. From studio condos to three-bedroom townhomes, this Snowmass Village luxury resort offers nothing but the best for truly discerning travelers.

We thought The Crestwood was a pillar of luxury even before its extreme makeover to the tune of $15 million. Outside, the exterior of this condo resort has been fully restored with stone, wood and other rustic-chic touches. And inside, the upscale condos have been treated to upscale upgrades like granite counters, tile baths, oversized tubs and stone fireplaces – just to name a few. Or, head to Full Circle Massage, Esthetics and Yoga for relaxing massages and results-driven facials. Of course, all that luxury isn’t worth a lick if you don’t have a hassle-free way to enjoy it. Luckily, the friendly Crestwood staff goes out of its way so you don’t have to lift a finger on your Aspen vacation. Skip waiting in line for equipment rentals; Crestwood’s onsite ski service and rental center lets you reserve your gear and have it waiting for you upon arrival. You can forget the taxi or rental car while you’re at it; Crestwood offers complimentary shuttles to the airport and ski lifts. You don’t even have to wait for dinner reservations; Crestwood’s fully-equipped kitchens and grocery shopping service make it easy for you to dine on your time!

We chose the Colorado lodge in our No. 1 spot for its admirable ability to offer all the luxury of its Aspen contemporaries – without a trace of the pretense. Family-owned and operated, the Limelight Lodge is perfect for those who prefer to carry their own bags, but still want the comfort of a full-service hotel on their Aspen vacation.

An Aspen icon for decades, the Limelight Lodge has weathered the years with style and grace. But by far the most stunning feat performed by this Aspen retreat has been its transformation from a three-room lodge to a full-service, luxury hotel. Following a two-year demolition and reconstruction, the lodge’s sleek, contemporary exterior bears little resemblance to its former self. Fortunately, the same spirit of family-owned hospitality and superior service that has become the Limelight’s trademark has been preserved. The Limelight Lodge promises the luxury of other Aspen resorts – and we’re happy to report that it delivers. Even the lodge’s so-called standard rooms come with upscale upgrades like flatscreen TVs, wireless internet and granite countertops. The two-bedroom condos are even more luxurious, with kitchens or kitchenettes, balconies and iPod docking stations in each. But the highlight of the Limelight is its ideal location, where you are just steps away from downtown shopping, dining and more during your stay.

Average temperature

Low 7 degrees, high 77 degrees F.

Highlights

The Limelight’s sleek pool area, complete with two hot tubs, is just one of the highlights of the lodge’s recent renovation.

When dealing with the upscale, we’ve found there’s a fine line between opulent and overdone. Fortunately, we found a downtown Aspen condominium hotel that manages to be both modern and chic, without going overboard. Mountain influences meet modern sensibilities at Aspen Square Condominium Hotel.

Rustic chic: the only way to describe the luxury accommodations at Aspen Square. Authentic mountain touches (think antler chandeliers) are paired with state-of-the art kitchens for a comfortable and stylish stay on your Aspen vacation. We loved the welcoming mountain ambiance created by wood-burning fireplaces, exposed beams and granite and stone accents. And we certainly appreciated the convenience of stainless steel appliances and our condo’s fully-equipped kitchen. But what we still can’t get over is the beautiful sunset that painted its way across the majestic Aspen Mountain peaks outside our suite’s balcony. We think this Colorado luxury hotel is the perfect place to work and play on your Aspen vacation. Aspen Square offers a balanced blend of state-of-the-art equipment, elegant meeting spaces and scenic natural beauty. With unique spaces like a poolside courtyard, elegant floral displays and full catering featuring creative menus, productive Colorado corporate events and memorable destination weddings practically plan themselves!
