Begin your adventure with a scenic 45 minute float plane flight departing Anchorage's renowned Lake Hood seaplane base. Arrive at Wilderness Place Lodge in time for lunch provided by the professional chef team of 3. Wilderness Place Lodge is a highly reviewed all-inclusive fishing lodge with deluxe private cabins with bath, a gorgeous log lodge, a courteous staff of 18 that hosts an average number of 15 guests. Depending on the package duration you choose will determine the number of nights spent at Wilderness Place Lodge. Packages 3 nights or longer include a fly-out to the Pioneer Cabin Outpost with a guided 6 mile fishing float trip (based on availability). After your time experiencing Wilderness Place Lodge including fishing, hiking, wining and dining, you will return to Anchorage by float plane in time to meet your shuttle to the Knik River Lodge, approximately 1 hour North. The Alaska Glacier Lodge is a high-quality wilderness lodge at the end of the road within the scenic Knik Glacial River Valley. Here you will meet your Helicopter guide and embark on a once-in-a-lifetime Heli-Glacier experience into one of the most impressive glacial ice fields in all of Alaska. Your tour includes 2 helicopter glacier options: A helicopter tour with upper glacier landing with dog-sledding experience, or a more broad helicopter tour with added photo ops and 3 separate landings. Your choice! Following your heli-tour, wine & dine at the renowned Raven’s Perch Restaurant prior to checking into your private cabin for the night. Enjoy a leisurely morning on your final day with complimentary breakfast and shuttle back to Anchorage following check-out. We include all spin and fly fishing gear and instruction/classes for all abilities. Wilderness Place Lodge is a highly reviewed all-inclusive fishing lodge with deluxe private cabins with bath, a gorgeous log lodge, a courteous staff of 18 that hosts an average number of 15 guests. After a few days of experiencing the river, fishing, hiking, wining and dining; you will fly with your guide to a small lake just north of the lodge. Here you will find the historic Pioneer Cabin Wilderness Retreat. This unique property is located right on the banks of a remote lake with a short trail that accesses our river. Enjoy fine Alaska "glamping," r&r, lake kayaking, swimming, hiking, river fishing and lakeside campfires while your experience a day and a night at this special destination. Following your stay at the Pioneer cabin, your guide will inflate the raft and you will float and fish a full day back down to Wilderness Place Lodge for a few hours to hit the showers prior to catching your float plane back to Anchorage. Arrive at the lodge for a sit-down lunch followed by a guided afternoon on our clear-water river featuring an optional fly fishing lesson for trout and/or salmon. Return to the lodge for hors d’oeuvres and complimentary wine. Our chef team of 3 prepares a gourmet 4-course meal including the finest Northwest cuisine.
