Stowe's Fun, Friendly, and Affordable Lodge!

If you’re looking for a vacation destination with a friendly atmosphere, genuine hospitality, and a historical ambience, then Northern Lights Lodge is the place for you! Family vacations can be pricey, but Northern Lights Lodge offers guests affordable rates, so you can enjoy your time away together guilt-free. In the Main Lodge, you will find 30 comfortable and spacious guest rooms. Each has its own private bath. If you need larger accommodations, the Family Room is a great choice with one double bed, one twin bed and a set of bunk beds. Northern Light’s motel building is located behind the Main Lodge and houses 20 motel rooms. Each room has a private bathroom, cable TV, and individually controlled heat/AC. Don’t worry about feeling cramped – these accommodations are larger than average compared to other rooms in Stowe. And although the vacations here are affordable, you won’t get cut short on the fun. Northern Lights offers a wealth of amenities, from their indoor and outdoor pools to their hearty breakfast buffet. Adults can enjoy the sauna and hot tub, while kids play a game of volleyball, basketball or tennis. And the lodge is conveniently located to great outdoor recreational opportunities in every season! Reconnect with nature during your Stowe retreat! The Lodge is just a few hundred feet from the end of the scenic 5.3 mile Stowe Recreation Path, a popular paved trail that follows the West Branch River and ends up in the downtown Stowe area. Also, there are more rugged nature paths such as the Stowe Pinnacle Trail and the Long Trail.

Relax in the whirlpool or sauna, stroll along the river, or have a picnic in the backyard – Northern Light’s historic ambiance and great scenery create a wonderful place to escape for a weekend. Stowe is consistently ranked as the "Ski Capital Of The East" with the 25 to 30 feet of snow that falls on the Stowe Mountain Resort's Mount Mansfield and Spruce Peak annually. The ambience, culture and hospitality of the mountain village of Stowe also play a big part in this ranking. The area is also a premier cross country ski resort area with the largest connected cross country trail networks in the East, most notably the Trapp Family Lodge Cross Country Ski Center.

Northern Lights is the closest lodging with full amenities to Stowe Mountain Resort’s Mount Mansfield and Spruce Peak. The lodge is also at the end of the Stowe Recreation Path, which follows the river and is great for hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing in the winter! Overnight accommodations at the Northern Lights Lodge consists of 50 spacious and well-appointed guest rooms. Thirty of them are housed in the Main Lodge, while the remaining 20 are located in the Riverside motel building. The Lodge rooms are available in the varieties of Superior, Deluxe, and Family Rooms; and Standard, Efficiency, and Economy Rooms occupy the Riverside.
