A Charming Original Log Cabin Resort in the Boundary Waters
Step back in time and immerse yourself in pristine wilderness and historic log cabins. A testament to their construction, many cabins at Loon Lake Lodge are almost 100 years old. The resort is one of the few remaining places where you can enjoy a rustic, cozy, and warm atmosphere that is both casual and relaxing. Enjoy a seat by the fire in the Lodge as the loons call while having your morning coffee and made-to-order breakfast. There’s a fantastic selection of dinner items as well, featuring ribs, walleye, and options for every taste. When you're looking for something to do, Loon Lake Lodge is the ideal location for outdoor adventures. Beautiful Loon Lake is right outside your door and teeming with trout, northern pike, rock bass or smallmouth bass for anglers of all ages! Make sure to catch the incredible sunsets over the lake, either from the shore or from one of the many boats available to guests! The Lodge is also a short trip away from the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, with access to an endless number of outstanding canoe trips and hiking trails. Stay during the winter where you can feel completely secluded in a winter wonderland. Enjoy the star-filled night sky and northern lights, ice-fishing, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing right outside your cozy cabin. You can also venture out and go cross country skiing or dog sledding all within 15 minutes of the only open cabin on Loon Lake.
