Camden has been sought out for movie settings for over 50 years. Peyton Place, Man Without a Face, and Thinner were all filmed, in part, on location right in Camden. Portions of Thinner were filmed on the Beloin’s property and one of the cottages was featured.
Cross the street and explore Mt. Battie: either drive to the top on the auto road to the spectacular overlook directly above Beloin's, or hike the many uncrowded trails. For those who prefer rock climbing, some of the best rock faces in Maine are just a short drive away. Four nearby public golf courses welcome guests; some are located right on the water.
