The appeal of Buzzard Rock Resort is off the water - 100 acres of woodlands and serene pathways are filled with wildlife. No, you won't see any actual buzzards here. But you're likely to spot large game at the nearby Elk & Bison Prairie or learn hands-on at the Woodlands Nature Center.

Bass boats and 16-foot John boats are available for rent from Buzzard Rock's 285-slip marina. The staff here knows many of the endless fishing hot spots in Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley. Each lake is fed by a different river system, and both thrive with crappie, catfish, a variety of bass and more!

Each two-bedroom cottage at Buzzard Rock Resort features a sleeping loft, and accommodates up to eight. These air-conditioned homes away from home feature full kitchens, cable TV, gas grills and large covered decks overlooking the lake.
