An Historic Old Florida Fish Camp on the St. Johns River
Experience the simple life of the beautiful, tranquil St. Johns River at historic Stegbone's Fish Camp, located 12 miles south of Palatka in NE Florida. People visit for many reasons, but fishing and ‘getting away’ usually tie for number one. The St. Johns River is nicknamed "The Bass Capitol of the World", but don't expect to just catch largemouths. You'll also see a full range of bream: copperhead, shell cracker, red bellies, crappie, and bluegill. When you're not out in the boat, you'll want to take advantage of Stegbone's excellent fish cleaning facilities, rocking chairs, horseshoes, tire swing, corn hole and maybe an occasional beverage. Get your fishing license on-line and have your bait delivered. The camp is also perfect for a unique family reunion and groups of up to 30…book the whole camp! Stegbone's Old Florida river paradise is the perfect mixture of adventure, pleasure, history, and relaxation!
