An Inviting Arkansas Escape
Tanglewood Lodge, steeped in military history, is an escape that calls for boating, fishing, kayaking, and most of all— relaxation. You may notice how close Tanglewood is to the shores of Beaver Lake, and that is no accident. The lodge actually dates back to 1965 when it served as housing for navy diving trainees. Tanglewood was built to be as close to the lake as possible to make sure the trainees, who were also housed in the accommodations, had as easy of lake access as possible. Onsite you’ll also come across 25 boat tie-ups, so there should be plenty of space to fit your craft! The accommodations are no slouch either. Their modern rooms represent their vision of going forward by merging a more nostalgic lake retreat characteristics with 21st-century amenities. The room options differ with a modern double room, an upgraded double room, and the suite. The modern and upgraded rooms have nearly identical features with a few differences being in their flooring and furniture. If you’re a large family, consider the suite where you’ll have more a full kitchen and the ability to sleep up to nine. Travel to the Arkansas Ozarks today!
The beach at Tanglewood Lodge might be the closest distance to your accommodations than any you’ve ever experienced. Originally used as a training facility for navy divers, the lodge was built to have easy lake access. Feel free to wake up in the morning and walk just mere steps to Beaver Lake as you put down a towel and soak up the sun, take a dip in the water, or try to reel in fish.
Experience the Arkansas Ozarks at Tanglewood Resort with your family. Their suite room can sleep up to nine and features a full kitchen so you can make some homemade dishes. And with the immediate access to Beaver Lake, you’ll have no shortage of things to do!
Pack up your tackle box and prepare your fishing rod for Beaver Lake. Under the surface, you’ll find an assortment of fish like smallmouth and largemouth bass as well as plenty of crappies, bream, and catfish. The lake is expansive so feel free to roam freely until you find the spot right for you!
With the Navy selecting Beaver Lake as their destination for training, that must come with some merit. Situated high in the Ozark Mountains, it is the birthplace of the White River. On top of the scenic beauty it offers, it provides excellent boating and fishing opportunities for hours upon hours.
