Titled in 1890, The Old Harvey Ritchie Place gives hunters a dream location to hunt. Private 80 acres of meadows and woods adjacent to 1,200 federal huntable acres providing a vast array of opportunities for recreation and relaxation. There are preset hunting locations, and a 3/4 acre spring fed pond. Persimmon groves abound. Wildlife include deer and bear. The Oark General Store bought the hunting lodge in 2001 so that tourists could have a place to stay and enjoy the land, stocked ponds, great mountain views and access to the Ozark Highlands Trail.
