"Posada de los Farios" is located on a small working cattle ranch on the banks of the Rio Cisnes (River of Swans), 85 miles north of Coyhaique, bordering the pristine Quelat National Park. The fishing is primarily for Brown Trout, hence the name: Posada de los Farios. "Fario" being the chilean name for Brown Trout. The mountain scenery is spectacular and the fishing options are varied and abundant: wade fishing on smaller sections of the Rio Cisnes and it's productive tributary springcreeks, float and wade fishing on larger sections of the river, and fishing remote mountain lakes by boat or float tube. Dry flys are used most. It is not uncommon to see truly large Browns feeding on the surface. All fish are released.
