Get Off the Beaten Path on the Florida Coast

Just off of the Florida mainland is a coastal paradise. Palm Island is a small island with beaches facing the Gulf of Mexico. The only way to get there is by boat or ferry that ships you across the Intracoastal Waterway. As you cross over, it doesn’t take longer than a few minutes for all your worries to brush off like the waves hitting the bow.

Palm Island Resort seems to open a portal where time moves slower. Whether you want to do everything or do nothing, they will have you covered. The resort gives you the freedom to choose your own path as a family, a couple on a romantic getaway, or a group of friends looking to make some memories. Unique to their resort, Palm Island does not permit vehicles in the resort. This is surely intentional, imploring guests to explore the island freely and experiencing it naturally.

One of the most impressive characteristics of the resort is their unparalleled beach access. The two miles of beaches are accessible to guests and owners only, giving all those who trek the white beaches a strong sense of community. You would be hard-pressed to find another private beach setup like that in all of Florida!

Guests stay in either beach villas, bay villas, cottages, or private homes. No two guests are likely to have the same experience. With all the living quarters being individually owned they each have a distinct flair and feeling. Right around the corner or just steps away, you will be able to find pools, hot tubs, and gas grills to enhance your visit.

Once you’ve settled in, explore the island however you desire! For kayak lovers, there is the option to go out on the water alone or be guided by the Master Naturalist on-hand at the resort. If you’d rather stay on land, you may find treasure in the form of seashells and shark teeth while strolling along the beach. There really is no best way to explore at the Palm Island Resort.

Another convenience provided is an activity schedule. If you are ever looking for something to do, it has daily events scheduled for both morning and night. One of the more popular activities is tennis, where you can casually volley balls back and forth with a partner on their immaculate courts or learn tips from tennis pro Art Santos, a Peter Burwash International Professional,  who teaches guests onsite!

For many who visit Palm Island Resort, the trip doesn't end when they hop back aboard the ferry and head to the airport—it is the beginning of many more memories yet to come. As Sales Director Lisa Halpin says, "Our repeat guest rate is over 65%. Once someone finds us, they return again and again and again! I hear so many wonderful stories from families who have grown up spending time, making memories year after year. It is so heartwarming to hear them."

So make your way down to Palm Island Resort and enjoy a tropical retreat. And if you can’t get to everything you want, don’t worry. You are always welcome back.
