Family fun takes on many forms. Whether it’s a thrilling roller coaster ride at an amusement park or a sunny day at the beach, there are almost endless ways to entertain young and old. However, few options are as tried-and-true as a family vacation at the lake.
Woodland Beach Resort supports this claim with year-round adventures for all ages. This Minnesota marvel is just a short drive from the Twin Cities and features family fun on Bay Lake, on hundreds of acres of pristine wilderness, and at buzzing nearby attractions. Lake Country is always within reach.
Just 99 miles from the Twin cities in the heart of Lake Country, Woodland Beach Resort is just a short drive away, yet a world away. Step outside your door and cast off on the 2,435-acre Bay Lake, which is one of the state’s best bass fishing lakes. Travel 10 miles to Lake Mille Lacs and reel in a wealth of walleye. Catch yet another species at Cuyuna’s County State Recreation area when you net rainbow and brook trout and world class mountain biking. The family lake fun never seems to end.
“We bought the resort because we wanted others families to enjoy the traditional Minnesota resort experience on Bay Lake,” owner Kevin Miller said.
If fishing doesn’t hook you, enjoy many more aquatic adventures. The lake is perfect for canoeing, boating, or swimming. Construct sand castles on the beach or bounce on the water trampoline. Stay dry hiking through 25-mile mountain bike trails, which wind through the 800 lush acres in Cuyuna's County State Recreation Area.
An array of nearby attractions keep the recreation rolling. Golf courses, tennis courts, restaurants, movies, amusement parks, museums, and shopping are all a stone’s throw away. When the winter wonderland arrives, try snowshoeing, ice fishing, cross country skiing, and skating. Afterward, you can warm your frozen fingers by the stone fireplace and sip hot chocolate. The resort wants to ensure everyone is having fun.
“One of the rewards of owning a resort is seeing families get together have fun and having quality time together,” Miller said.
As a family-owned property, Woodland Beach Resort’s biggest joy is seeing families bond at this lakeside outdoor oasis.
