Their comfortable guestrooms are equipped with flat-screen televisions, HDTV/DVD, and private baths. Or, you can stay in one of the luxury suites which take things up a notch with in-suite whirlpools, outdoor deck with awnings overlooking the gardens, and gas-log fireplaces in the cooler months.

Start off everyday of your trip with a hearty, gourmet breakfast made from fresh, local ingredients. Their spacious, sun-filled dining room offers you a place to rest and indulge as you choose from a wide array of breakfast items. Mounds of sweet, fresh fruit, homemade muffins from family recipes, toasting breads and signature granola are available, while the onsite chef creates a menu of dishes such as buttermilk pancakes laced with local blueberries, Belgium waffles topped with fresh whipped cream and french toast with creme fraiche. You can also enjoy delicious omelets and frittatas, all made to order and stuffed with seasonal vegetables, and additions such as bacon and sausage. Top it all off with a soothing hand-crafted loose leaf tea or locally roasted coffee, and you’ve got a breakfast fit for champions!

After you’ve had your fill, there’s plenty of exciting options to enjoy in this beautiful area. Bask in the stunning views along the nature trail that winds behind the inn to the Windham Path; you can access the Bataviakill Creek and catch some views of the Black Dome Mountain along this two mile long route. For more moderate nature adventures, take in a hiking trip along the Escarpment Trail located nearby the inn. Known as “America's First Hiking Trail,” you are sure to be blown away by its stunning views of the surrounding mountain peaks, the Hudson River and Kaaterskill Falls, New York’s tallest two-tiered waterfall.

Go for a few miles or hike for the day! Mountain biking is also plentiful in this region; whether you’re an advanced rider or novice, you will have a myriad of trails to choose from. Plus, the local cycling shop just a few doors down carries everything from bike rentals to professional gear.

Creek-hopping is an old-fashioned yet popular Catskills pastime; bring along a pair of worn sneakers as you’re bound to get a little wet on your journey along the pristine mountain creeks which can take you up to the next town over! For the golfers in your party, Windham Country Club (opposite the inn) offers 18 challenging holes and a driving range. For those looking to discover some hidden treasures, there are plenty of quaint antique shops sprinkled throughout Greene County, New York.

After a day out and about, return home and enjoy the inn’s 24-hour guest pantry with complimentary soft drinks, hot beverage station and bottomless cookie jar (and yes, the cookies are baked from scratch too!) Dinner options abound with well over a dozen delicious nearby restaurants to choose from. Summer evenings bring star-gazing by the campfire, complete with s’mores.
